What to do after being in a car accident

At the bottom of the article is the Utah guidelines for what to do after you are in a car accident.

After you have taken care of al the emergencies and have made sure that everyone is okay, you should look to seek evaluated by a medical professional for any minor or moderate injuries to make sure all injuries that you may have obtained from the auto accident are okay and can be treated. A whiplash and sprain/strain injuries are the most common minor and moderate injuries that someone will sustain in an auto accident. These injuries may present themselves with soreness, pain, headache, stiffness and tightness. These symptoms most commonly present to you later after the accident. You may feel theses symptoms anywhere from a couple hours after the accident to a couple weeks after the accident. If you have been in an accident, your auto insurance will cover the reasonable and necessary medical cost provided by the personal injury protection (PIP) included in the month premium you pay for already.

At Performance Spine and Sport, you can be examined for any injuries and treated at with chiropractic care, therapeutic exercise and massage therapy at no additional cost to you. These treatment can help decrease pain, speed up healing and restore proper movement so that you can get your life better then how is was before the accident.

We would recommend that you meet with an attorney that specializes in personal injury and auto accident cases.  There are a few that we would strongly recommend as we trust them and know that they work with your interest in mind.  Remember, their job is to hold the insurance companies accountable for what was promised to you in your monthly premium contract.
