I want to share with you the approach we take to help take care of you or whoever comes into our door. We call it our peak performance approach to care. It covers the 3 types of people that come in to see us. Those 3 types of people that come in to see us have one of three goals.
- They are looking for a quick fix
- They are looking to get back to their activities
- They want to get ahead of the curve and take care of their body
Whatever goal you may have, we build a care plan that fits your goal and is tailored to your needs.
The phases of our Peak Performance Approach:
- Squaw Peak: overcome the pain
- Mount Timp: Return to function/sport
- Kings Peak: Optimize performance
As you can see, each phase works into the next phase. From those 3 phases, whatever goal you may have, we have a plan for you to help you achieve your goals.
In the next few videos, we want to share with you in detail each phase and what to expect from each of those phases when you come in for our services.
Stay tuned for those videos.
Introduction To Our Peak Performance Approach / Orem, Utah Chiropractor
Phase One: Chive Peak or Squat Peak
Our primary goal here is to help you overcome pain, but on top of that, we also want to reduce the mental stress that is related to the injury, increase your confidence to move again, and also increase your daily function.
Treatment in this phase usually consists of some passive care such as adjustments, soft tissue work, active release technique, deep tissue massage, stretching, tape, dry needling, and some active care like rehab exercises or corrective care exercises. There are no cookie-cutter treatment plans here because every case is different, so you may need to be in this phase for 4-6 weeks for 2-3 office visits per week.
3 Key Principles Of Treatment Plans
- What is your current condition and the current research on the condition
- The best way to address the condition
- Our clinical expertise in how to address the condition

Maybe you’re just looking for a quick fix, but I will bet that you’ve been dealing with this pain longer than you should have, and now the pain has hindered your ability to do something that you need to do or that you want to do. Maybe you can’t work or you can’t enjoy a round of golf or play basketball or go on a run, or you can’t get down and play with your kids or spend time with your family like you want to do.
That’s where the next phase is the mountain phase. Stay tuned and watch the next video to see what that phase is. Don’t let pain dampen your life, we have affordable and effective evidence-based tailored treatment plans for you. Call or schedule today to help you get on the path to recovery.
Peak Performance Approach | Phase One Explained / Orem, Utah Chiropractor
The second phase of our peak performance approach is the mountain phase which consists of the return to a function. This phase is named after Mount Tip and Ogas here in Utah Valley. The more you learn about injuries, the quicker you learn that pain is the first thing to go but the function takes a little bit longer, and a little bit more effort for it to return to where it was before.
That’s what this phase is for and usually, people transition into this phase once the pain is reduced. Our goal is to continue to reduce the pain and restore daily function to 100% capability
of what you had before the injury, increase the range of motion, increase your strength, and increase your resilience.
What does care in the phase look like?
It’s different from person to person. This might be a treatment for 4-6 weeks coming into the office 1-3 times a week. There may be some manual work, some passive adjustments, some manual therapy, and soft tissue work, but heavily on the active work, active therapy.
We focus on corrective exercises, some therapeutic exercises, and rehab to come back stronger and better than before. We give the gold standard of chiropractic care with you in mind to help you become injury resilient and better than ever.
For people that come to our clinic, we try to get them back to the activities that they love and that they have missed out on. Along with feeling confident to get back to their activities after this phase.
The next phase is the king’s peak phase, so stay tuned for that.
Peak Performance Approach | Phase Two / Orem, Utah Chiropractor
The final phase of care is King’s Peak Phase. This is named after the highest point in Utah King’s Peak. This is the R. This is our optimal performance care. In this phase, our main goal is to help maintain the function that you’ve gained and improve the performance of activities that you enjoy.
Activities can range from playing better on the golf course, improving your mile time, being able to hike longer distances, increasing the time you play with your kids and maintaining the activities of function that you love doing and want to do longer to your life.
Treatment in this phase looks different from person to person. You could be a person that comes into the office one or two times a month or maybe someone that comes in every other month.
Coming in for treatment during this phase can still include getting adjusted, working on your muscles with some soft tissue work, maybe getting a massage from Lisa and just maintaining your function and helping to continue to move better. Working on a weekly strengthening and mobility program to increase your performance from home may also be an option in this phase.
Another type of person that comes into see us is when they are not dealing with significant pain. They’ve gone through the first few phases and They’re transitioning to this performance care phase. This person is getting ahead of the curve and taking care of their body to prevent injuries and perform all the activities that they love.
These are the three phases of care, chive peak, Mount Tip phase, and King’s peak phase. Whatever your goal is, we have a treatment plan for you. We have affordable and effective care to help you maintain the physical goals you desire and get treated like a pro.
Call or schedule online to get ahead of the curve and take care of your body now. We’d be happy to help you. Have a wonderful day.
